Mine popped off too. Like you said, I used a Shark Bite Fitting and was down the road...very easy fix.

RE: Fort Stevens State Park, OR ~ best campsite?

Ken,
We camp at Ft. Stevens a lot. (20+ nights a year). I don't like that side of the campground that you have picked. Loop M's sites are tight and close together as are others in that area. It's also sandy and can get muddy in that end of the park.
I recommend that you get something in the other end of the campground.
Consider Loops H, I, J, C, D, E, F, G. Much more room. All of these have electric and water. Some have sewer some don't.
We always stay in H,I,J,or E. and already have reservations for next June. You can reserve 9 mo. in advance to the day of arrival.
Bring your bicycles.

RE: Tell me about dogs and California beaches...

Very tough to find any dog legal beaches in Calif.
If you want a very dog friendly beach environment, take your Daisy to Oregon.

RE: 2nd house battery

Yes, you have it correct.
POS to POS and NEG to NEG if you are using 2 12v batts.
If you are connecting 6v batts then wire them is series.. POS to NEG.

RE: Got the new truck bug and can't decide

OK I'll throw in my opinion...but keep in mind, I'm not going to be paying for your truck..
The 5.4 with 3.73 is not going to make you happy towing a trailer with 8100 GVWR..and yes I had one.
Remember, buying a new truck is suppose to be fun.

RE: extended warranties

LOTS of discussion about extended warranties/service contracts here on the Forum.
I don't like them for a host of reasons..chances are you might not even have this rig in three year- or the issuing warranty company will not be around either in three years.
None-the-less, read the fine print very carefully. My bet is that your dealer is really pressuring you with fear tactics to buy one. They are big money makers for dealers.

RE: winchester bay resort

Try it again. Go to their site, get the map and then click your mouse in the middle of the map...it will magnify and you will be able to see the site #'s and locations clearly.
We camp there often and like it a lot. We always try to get site 123.
Have a good trip.

RE: Financing on RV's at Present Time

Certainly not as easy as it once was...credit/loans are very tight for most anything.
Really depends upon your financial situation and how good a "risk" you are. You need to have very healthy credit right now.

RE: Extended Warranties

snip.... It seems like there is alot more to go wrong on the newer ones.
Very true..but read ALL the 'fine print' very carefully. More that not many of these are "not covered" or there are stringent conditions placed upon them that make it very difficult to get reimbursed.
Lots of discussion re extended warranties, I'm not in favor of them. Dealers are not looking out for your best interest. These are big money makers for the dealer.

With me and electrical issues, most often just FINDING the problem is the hardest part....the fixing part is easy.

RE: I need help for my first RV vacation!!

I know Lodi well...head for the Oregon Coast and pick any one of the many Oregon State Parks...they are all first rate. You will not be disappointed.
If you are going in July, make reservations. Don't try to go too far and do too much all in one vacation trip. Lodi through Oregon, Washington, into Canada and Yellowstone is really a lot.

RE: Can anyone tell me what this might be??

I agree. Looks to be some kind of clean out. Can you use it to install your Tornado?
Maybe it's there for that purpose...to make it easier for the dealer to install a tank flush device if ordered as an option.
